The story of Rory: I’ve encountered abused animals and people through out my entire life. Abuse and neglect are not the same thing. Neglect fades quickly, but a history of abuse is, at least, left behind a veil waiting to show the carnage whenever something triggers a memory.

Vulcan: A Trial By Fire. A former race horse named “Louisiana Gumbo” endures gruesome neglect and injury until saved by Heart of Phoenix in West Virginia
Vulcan is the God of Fire in Roman Mythology, and the name conjures up amazing imagery of strength and flame and iron will. It makes us think of war and a battle. Seems fitting since his ancestors are the likes of Man O War and War Admiral.
