Macy is a sweet 19+ year old Rocky Mountain mare. She is 13.3hh
She is smooth as silk under saddle. She is somewhat forward and has plenty of go.
Never any bucks, rears or bolting. Friendly and the boss in a herd, generally.
She is an advanced beginner rider type gal for the most part, but she had clearly had her mouth mishandled a lot before coming to HOP, and so she is worried about her mouth being mishandled and will toss her head around some, especially if in the wrong bit or if the rider isn’t quiet with their hands. She would be best with someone with extremely quiet hands and possible would be best in a bitless bridle in time.
She has been part of a previous foster’s lesson program with relatively new riders and did well.
She continues to need some work with having her back feet trimmed.
