We realize this is important to some adopters because feeling a horse is yours matters, just like knowing Heart of Phoenix is always there for the horse, before and after that step, to keep him/her safe matters.

After a year, adopters can request an ownership statement if they have been in compliance with their adoption agreement and following a vet statement and a formal request form.

While the contractual agreement remains in place for the life of the horse (meaning, as explained in the adoption application and agreement, all adopted horses do always have to either come back to us or can stay with the adopter until an approved home through us is found), We we do offer an owenrship statement because it definitely has sentimental value to some families or sometimes helps for showing and insurance purposes.
