This horse is the most elusive creature on earth.
Animal control called at about 8 am. Someone in the ridge had her in their yard. We are about 15 minutes away due to the road you have to take to get there. (But really only about 2 miles if one could get there via truck through the woods).
Got there – the person didn’t hold her, she had wandered off – SERIOUSLY – right on the same road we’ve been searching.
Hoping with the volunteers coming to look at 10 and then a larger group at noon, we will HAVE to find her today!
Poppy is headed to her adoptive home in Maryland! HOORAH! HOORAH! Thank you to Lilly Pond Foal Rescue for transporting her back when they met our volunteers who stayed overnight at Sunday Stables with the nurse mare foals headed to LPFR today! — with Sonora Winds andAngela M. Kirchner.
I’ve found her – now to just find the search party
Poppy in her new home!
Sassy pants is caught and safely in a stall.
Gorgeous Ellie with our board member, Sonora, today.
Hasn’t this gal rehabbed beautifully! Wow! What a stunner!— with Sonora Winds.
Happy Easter from the now apprehended Beauty and the whole HOP crew!
Handsome Alfie
What a pretty gaited pony he is!
Tara is progressing So nicely in her rehab! She is a big, personable, very pretty QH mare that is likely going to be a beginner type.
Unfortunately, she does have Heaves, so she will need an adoptive home able to maintain management of the condition and be pasture kept to avoid dust, etc.
For those that do not know his story, though we now know he is about six, not three as we thought:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqSYjVqU2gs
Thank you so much for your continued support!
