Elkins Creek Horse camp takes you back in time to a world of horses and mules, family friendly fun and the picturesque view of a little “cowboy” street where you can have access approximately 100 miles of trails, 60 electric sites, primitive camp facilities, 106 stalls, cabins, bunk wagons, bunk rooms, a tack shop, restrooms/showers and more.

The Ride For Rescue at Elkins Creek Horse Camp is one of our favorite events, and this is our 8th annual event.

This fundraising event helps us continue our rescue work with horses from Appalachia, spread the work on equine adoption to increasing larger crowds that come to ride and enjoy this wonderful camp ground (easily the best in the EAST).

Events will start on Friday evening this year.

This is Derby Weekend, so we will have a DERBY THEME: HATS FOR HORSES

This is one of Elkins Creek’s most Popular Events, and HOP always creates one of the best ride weekends once the trails open!

Make sure to Pre-register, and you get a free raffle ticket by doing so!

You do still need to book your camping spot, stall and hook up with Elkins Creek directly (and they charge / are paid apart from HOP’s event here)
