Be A Mentor and Change a Person and her Horse’s Life

The last two weeks have shown me two important facts. . .

  1. Would be, New and Novice horse owners have a hard time connecting with honest, caring and knowledgeable people.
  2. Many knowledgeable people exist that do not work as trainers who no longer ride or have horses and miss that part of a previous point in their lives.

Do you already see where this is going?

Connections, friends. We need more ways to make connections. There are people who have useful skills in the equine world that, for many reasons, do not work as trainers, lesson instructors or even have much involvement in the horse world anymore, and there are a LOT of people who would appreciate this knowledge. I see from the comments on various blogs I’ve done recently that these people who worked with horses previously miss it.

If you haven’t considered it before, if you really have a solid equine foundation, think about ways you can offer to help improve the live of a horse someone with less knowledge has brought to their property. You may very well find a friend and impact the lives of that horse(s) for many years to come.

If you have knowledge, pass it on. Horses are depending on it!
