Animal Control Training for Horses and Livestock: West Virginia and Beyond

This year, April 28th from 11am to 5pm, Heart of Phoenix will host our 3rd Annual Animal Control Training for WV, Ohio and Kentucky.

This class will cover the handling of equines and livestock. It will cover legal considerations for cases involving horses and livestock. There is an expanded “hands on” portion this year to be sure officers will be able to safely handle these large animals when needed.

We offer West Virginia’s Statewide Animal control and law enforcement training program each year in the spring at no cost to officers or counties.

This program receives In-Hours credit for officers statewide (WV) and provides never before attainable equine only neglect and cruelty training, as well as handling safety training. We are in our 3rd year of this program.
