Ride for Rescue: Help Us Save the Horses of Appalachia while enjoying some of the best trails on the East coast of the United States near Lake Vesuvius in Ohio

Ride the Foothills of Appalachia and help horses in extreme need all at once!

Elkins Creek Horse camp takes you back in time to a world of horses and mules, family friendly fun and the picturesque view of a little “cowboy” street where you can have access approximately 100 miles of trails, 60 electric sites, primitive camp facilities, 106 stalls, a tack shop, restrooms/showers and more.

Come out with Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue for a full weekend trail ride event at Elkins Creek Horse Camp & Tack Shop in Pedro, OH for the 2017 OPENING weekend for trail riding event April 14-16th.

This year we are offering a few new things!!

There will be a Friday Night Cook-out with entertainment! Also, enjoy a breakfast before we all hit the trails at 10am! Return to a Lunch at 2pm and enjoy an open tack sale! We will then have a few fun competitions including a trail class!

Tickets are $75 per person for the full event.
Trail ride, Lunch and afternoon events are $40.
Adult tickets include an event souvenir.

Children under 6 are free.
6-12 are $15 for the entire weekend.
They are $8 for Saturday.

Remember, when you book the ride, you’re paying for your participation in the ride, food for however many days you book, a T-shirt and the day and evening events (karaoke, obstacle course competition and prize drawings), but if you need stalls, are camping or setting up an RV, you need to call Elkins Creek for that at (740) 643-2416

If not riding, the cost is $50 for the full 2 day event. The cost for Saturday only is $30

I’ve been asked if you’re coming to ride only, and you are not eating, taking part in the swap / sale and other elements of the event, what the cost is.

The trails are open to all riders, and it is suggested riders not taking part consider a $20 donation to HOP.
