Brandi is a red roan mare who is 14 years old TWH mare.
She is at least 15hh or a bit over.
“So I’ve gushed before about Brandi, though perhaps not enough. She is honestly a better trail horse than my QH. She doesn’t refuse anything and she goes at a nice clip as long as and wherever you ask her. Add to that her smooth rack and she is hard to beat. ”
She is intermediate in type, easy to handle on the ground, not spooky at all, middle of the pecking order in a herd, good for the farrier. She has a very smooth, lovely gait. She is down right stunning when she is in action undersaddle. She can be forward if allowed.
Fee is $500
Brandi and Heart of Phoenix have a long history. In 2014, we were called out about a herd of horses living on a reclaimed mine in Southern West Virginia. We were willing to help the herd, and the county gave us permission, but someone moved them before we could get them to rescue.
When we were called out to a case in Logan, WV in March of 2016, some of the horses looked familiar, and Brandi was one of the 3 we knew we’d seen before almost 2 years before and hoped to help.
These photos shows Brandi in foal abandoned on a mine site with a HOP volunteer.
Now in the fall of 2016 with HOP and the training of Adkins Quarter Horses of Ohio
