Since 2009, Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue (then simply a one family effort) has worked in a grass roots manner.

We have grown from a single family effort to a multi state foster home system that has proven the foster model works in equine rescue, and we have proven it can work well,

But we have known for some time that in order to really take the next step in creating an organization that will last, we needed to grow roots.

We needed a home.

On Friday, that dream came true.

We are leasing (to own in the future) a 46 acre equine facility that is nothing less PERFECT. 15 stalls, a huge outdoor arena and potential beyond all our hopes, and we are located only 10 minutes from Huntington!

This will be Mulligan Farms. A Do Over for everyone who comes through the gates.

This facility will allow us to expand and reach so many many lives, both human and equine alike.

We have grown this 501(c)3 the right way and have been excellent financial stewards over the years, and while we know we are ready for this step, we take this chance because we believe our support base is also ready to see us move onto bigger things, move onto helping more.

We truly need your time and gifts now. . .

This time, when you donate, you will know you’re donating to the world you want to see, to a facility able to see those changes through for many years to come.

Stay turned to join us for scheduled clean up days and our fall MULLIGAN FARMS OPEN HOUSE PARTY!

We must secure a mobile home for the caretakers who will live here and care for the horses 24/7, as well as a 4 wheeler for hauling water tanks / feed.

Expand fencing to cover the entire 46 acres is also an immediate need.

Those with carpentry, plumbing and other handy skills are appreciated if they can donate their time.

Lastly, the use of a tractor to cut the fields would be appreciated.
