One thing I like to remind people when they look at the adoptable horses, remember. . .these horses aren’t finished with 100% of their rehab. They aren’t at they best they will ever be. We adopt out often between 2-6 months after rescue. They are stable. They are now healthy. They have been evaluated.
Yet, while they usually have gotten to their final weight, the facts are that it takes more than 6 months to restore all of the lost muscle, sheen and vibrancy. A full year presents an after for these horses that only time can heal.
When you adopt, you are part of that, you COMPLETE this rescue!
