Let’s “Lead a Horse to Water” Summer Sustaining Donor Drive

This event kicks off during the hottest time of the year for us, and truthfully, a time when we see a very large surge in owners in need of surrendering their horses, with winter not that far around the bend. Often, horses haven’t had access to even the basics like clean water, even though temperatures have soared well into the high 90’s through the summer.

Heart of Phoenix is a partner of The Right Horse, and our goal is to massively increase the number of successful horse adoptions in the United States by working together to reframe the adoption conversation about ADOPTABLE horses in transition. #RIGHTHORSE

Our mission is to find that by the first day of Fall, we have inspired 100 new people to become sustaining donors through the coming 4 weeks. We have ONE month left before Fall is here. We can do this!

If we met our goal of 100 people and each sign up to give $10 a month, meaning $1,000 arrives each month to care for neglected horses. That means full care is covered for 5 MORE lives each month. It offers $12,000 more in needed funding each year. It would supply the hay for the square bales for our main location a month.

Imagine if we met our goal of 100 people and each sign up to give $20 a month, it means $2,000 more each month to care for neglected horses. That means full care is covered for 10 MORE lives each month. It offers $24,000 more in needed funding each year. It would supply the grain and supplement order for our main location each month.

Sustaining donors are the reason we can step in on a moments notice and save a life. We appreciate grant funding and one time large donations, but truly, we exist because of the giver who steps in every single month.
The bulk of the work we do is because of our small monthly givers, and the more monthly givers we can county, the more we can do the help horses in desperate need. Many donors are giving between $5 and $20 dollars each month, and they are collectively, positively reshaping Appalachia for equines!

The days leading up  to the first day of Fall will be filled with recounts of some of our most awesome videos and stories of rescue, as well as highlight of the Appalachian Trainer Face Off that takes place August 23-24th, so that you see why your monthly giving changes everything for the horses of Appalachia!

Get ready for the last month of Summer by of giving and  hearing tales of amazing afters.

Get ready to make a commitment for whatever amount you can to be part of change. Amazing things will continue to happen when you decide your gift matter.

I promise you, it does.
